We were briefed from a client who had recently moved into a 1960’s bungalow in Harrowbarrow, Cornwall, who wanted to address the poor layout of their new living room whilst updating it from its 90’s decor to have a more calming scandi feel.
Boaz Studio visited the clients home in order to understand the space and talk to the client about their requirements. We then went away to design layout options, create concept boards and following these created a furniture, fitting and equipment pack (FF&E) for the client to fully develop the space.
To sensitively update the living room in a 1960’s bungalow using a Scandi aesthetic.
We worked with the client to create a layout that suited their lifestyle and was sensitive to the age of the property, maximising the rooms key features, such as the fireplace and views to the Tamar Valley.
The client had some key sentimental pieces of furniture for us to work with and wanted to ensure that the room could have privacy when required. The Scandi aesthetic was achieved through the use of natural and textured materials, white walls and soft linen curtains, bringing texture and warmth to the room.
The results were a calm adaptable space where our client could be as happy entertaining guests as curling up on the sofa to admire the view or read a good book.
