A family from a quiet village near Newquay needed a flexible solution to renovate their home interior to grow with their young children. As their needs change, so can their home. Our bespoke furniture solutions, with plenty of storage for toys, interchangeable seating and surface spaces for entertainment, and a giant pegboard, exemplify design flexibility.
We worked with Jamie from Black Jay, who was able to turn our initial drawings into beautifully made pieces. Our proposal prioritised movement and flexibility in space use.
The owner’s contemporary scandi taste was combined with elements which have meaning to the family, such as sea inspired illustrations, plants, and other Cornish influences. Wherever possible, we worked with their existing furniture, some of which were antique heirlooms, incorporating their distinct characteristics as a charismatic counterpoint to the new contemporary pieces.
Each space has been carefully planned in order to generate the optimal layout based on usage intentions, light and utilities to list a few. The house and its new extension had been designed by an architect, but we recognised some changes that could be made to the window placement and interior layout to maximise space efficiency.

Alice and Stephen from Boaz were fantastic to work with. I needed help to design a small studio that my husband had just built for my work office. 5m x 5m and needing to have space to sit, meditate, do yoga, read, and film my digital production. Boaz Studio came in to advise on the complete refurbishment of the communal space here at Sunley Orford House, a purpose-built block of quality retirement housing in the centre of Truro. Having listened thoroughly to the design brief he provided well thought out advice on materials, colours and decoration with options that not only bring a more contemporary feel but will revitalise the space for the future. His thought and attention to detail was appreciated by all involved.
